Volunteering is a great way to enhance your University experience. It's a great way to make new friends and become part of the local community as well as developing new skills and experiences which will look great on your CV when you start job hunting.
There are a wide range of opportunities to get involved. These range from activities that support other students and improve the University community as a result, through to getting involved in charities and not for profit organisations in the wider community outside of campus.
Volunteering is one element of the Manchester Leadership Award: http://www.stellify.manchester.ac.uk/leadership-award. If you wish to work towards this you need to make sure that all the volunteering hours you complete are recorded in your account on Volunteer Hub.
The University of Manchester provides a range of ways for students to volunteer in the local community and for organisations to reach out to those students to gain new volunteers. Registering with us allows you to post your volunteering opportunities for all students to see and to directly recruit them into your volunteering roles.
